Gora Chand Nandi

G. C. Nandi received the graduate degree from the Indian Institute of Engineering, Science and Technology, Shibpur, in 1984, the post graduate degree from Jadavpur University, Calcutta, in 1986, and the PhD degree from the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, in 1992. He was a visiting research scientist with the Chinese University of Hong Kong, in 1997 and faculty with Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), in 2010-11. Currently, he is the senior most professor with the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (IIITA), India. He has published more than 100 papers in various refereed journals and international conferences. His research interests include robotics, especially biped locomotion control and humanoid push recovery, artificial intelligence, soft computing, and computer controlled systems. He is a senior member of the IEEE and ACM.
