Student Retention Factors in a Teacher-Training Course.

Every year, many newly enrolled students register for teacher-training courses at our university, and many graduates obtain teaching licenses. The university's Teacher Education Center holds annual information sessions for each grade and provides consultation services to students to support those aspiring to become teachers. However, many students drop out of the course as their academic year progresses. In this study, we analyzed the results of academic performance and periodic awareness surveys and identified specific factors for the early detection of at-risk students who have learning problems or lost motivation to become teachers.
