摘要
The penetration of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is much faster due to its wide range of applications, from industry to domestic usage. Hydrogen-blended LPG (H2-LPG) fuels offer benefits such as reduced emissions and increased fuel efficiency, and hydrogen is a promising option due to its clean-burning properties and easy transportation through pipelines. The present work investigated the combustion performance of blended fuels of hydrogen and LPG for commercial cooking burners (CCBs). SolidWorks was used to create a model of the CCB, which was then analysed using a non-premixed combustion approach with a compressible k-ε turbulent flow model in Ansys Fluent. The chemical kinetic mechanisms were employed to analyse the impact of fuel blends and combustion conditions on the burner's emissions and efficiency. The study found that blending hydrogen with LPG up to 50% can significantly enhance combustion performance, reduce CO and CO2 emissions, and increase economic viability through fuel conservation.
