摘要
In the context of the new development of “carbon peak and carbon neutrality” in the world, the development of carbon capture technology is particularly important. Carbonic anhydrase (CA), renowned for its unique hydration catalytic activity, has garnered increasing attention in carbon capture research due to its exceptional catalytic efficiency and environmental friendliness. CA can enhance CO2 absorption efficiency and significantly reduce energy consumption. Nonetheless, CA enzymes face limitations such as susceptibility to deactivation, low stability, and challenges in recycling, which impede their industrial application. In response to these challenges, the exploration and development of novel CA enzymes or enzyme mimics, coupled with enzyme enhancement technologies, stand as the most promising approaches to address this issue. This review explores recent advancements in chemicals and materials utilized for CO2 capture, elucidating their advantages and drawbacks. It also investigates the enhancement technology of CA enzymes and the latest research progress regarding the application of CA-based products in CO2 capture. Furthermore, it provides insights into the future development trajectory of CO2 capture technology grounded in enzyme catalysis.
