摘要
The control of a dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) with the help of a novel fundamental sequence component extractor is proposed. Frequency adaptive enhanced reduced-order generalized integrators (FAEROGIs) are used in realizing the proposed sequence component extractor. The suggested control scheme extracts the fundamental positive sequence components (FPSCs) from distorted source voltage. The conventional reduced order generalized integrator (ROGI) is modified using the imaginary part of closed-loop system eigenvalues. Due to this, the dynamic performance is improved. The proposed control strategy-based DVR successfully mitigates the voltage-related power quality issues. The significant advantages of the FAEROGI-based control scheme are lesser settling time, smaller peak overshoot, and less time required for unbalanced compensation. The Cuckoo search optimization (CSO) algorithm, which mimics the Cuckoo bird’s parasitic ways of finding food, is used to determine the gains of the load voltage and DC-link voltage PI controllers. The performance of the proposed control scheme is assessed through simulations under different voltage disturbances.
