摘要
10Cr steel is one of the candidate materials for turbine rotors of advanced ultra -super critical (AUSC) power plant. Towards characterization of mechanical behaviour of 10Cr steel, the mechanism of plastic flow and fracture behaviour have been investigated in the temperature regime of RT to 600 degrees C. The flow behaviour (true stress - strain relationship) of the material could be well represented by Voce material model. The tensile properties and work hardening parameters have shown signatures of dynamic strain ageing at intermediate temperatures and dynamic recovery at high temperatures. The fracture behaviour exhibits three distinct regimes of (i) Non-linear elastic fracture behaviour from RT to 250 degrees C; (ii) Linear elastic fracture behaviour from 300 to 500 degrees C; (iii) Elastic -Plastic fracture behaviour at 550 & 600 degrees C. The mechanism of plastic flow and fracture behaviour of 10Cr steel have been discussed in terms of tensile strengths, ductility, work hardening and fracture parameters.
