摘要
For sustainability and renewable clean energy usage, multigeneration systems are a possible innovation that might provide a substitute for many current buildings’ energy generation techniques. A multigeneration system allows it to produce power, fresh water, and cooling simultaneously and effectively, significantly benefiting the economy and environment. The organic Rankine cycle (ORC) utilizing n-Octane, the humidification-dehumidification desalination system (HDH), and the desiccant cooling system (DCS) with heat recovery systems were numerically investigated and connected to the basic system (B-System) in the current work as a modified and novel solar-powered heating multigeneration system (M-System). The intended system will supply small and medium-sized buildings with power, air conditioning, and fresh water. It has been investigated how operating conditions impact the system’s productivity and performance indices. The outcomes show that (i) the presented system can produce electricity, space cooling, and freshwater while preserving comfortable conditions inside the conditioned space; (ii) the M-System outperforms the B-System under identical operating conditions; and (iii) for the M-system, the greatest gains in electrical power generation ($\dot{W}_{net}$), freshwater productivity ($\dot{m}_{f\mathrm{r}esh}$), and space cooling capacity ($\dot{Q}_{\mathrm{c}oo\iota ing}$) are 102 kW, 214.70 kg/h, and 29.94 kW, respectively.
