Linear Active Disturbance Rejection Control of Dual Active Bridge Converter for Portable Energy Storage System

In order to improve the performance of portable energy storage (PES), a dual active bridge (DAB) converter based on linear active disturbance rejection control (LADRC) is studied in this paper. Firstly, a small-signal model of the DAB converter is derived on the basis of its reduced-order model. Subsequently, a line expansion state observer (LESO) is designed to estimate and counteract both internal and external disturbances in real time. Meanwhile, the convergence of LESO is also validated by means of the final-value theorem. Finally, a comparison is conducted between the LADRC and the traditional PI control strategies of DAB converters in Matlab/Simulink. The simulation results indicate that The LADRC control strategy allows for more effective control of the output voltage stability compared to the traditional PI control strategy.
