摘要
This study introduces the exponentiated additive Teissier-Exponential distribution, a three-parameter continuous model. The current model can be used in reliability engineering and survival analysis because it exhibits an increasing and bathtub-shaped failure rate. Several distributional characteristics of the model are derived and thoroughly examined, including moments, quantile function, stress-strength reliability, moments of residual life function, entropy, and order statistics. The maximum likelihood approach to estimating the model parameters is derived and simulations with various parameter settings are carried out. By fitting a dataset representing the lifetimes of 20 electronic components with bathtub failure rates based on reliability and comparing the results with several distributions with different parameters ranging from one to six, it is possible to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed distribution. The application’s outcome demonstrates that the model, as supported by several goodness-of-fit tests, provides a good fit to the dataset when compared to some standard distributions and some distributions derived through mixture, exponentiation, and additive techniques.
