Empirical Learning Through the Collective Involvement of Individuals in the Field of Switching DC-DC Converters

The first step in understanding converters is to grasp their circuit configuration. If this fundamental aspect can be effectively taught to students, the subsequent circuit analysis becomes easier. This article introduces an engaging and enduring method for teaching the circuit configuration of converters. The proposed approach involves the collaborative participation of students in the classroom under the guidance of the instructor. This method has been implemented on three-level boost converters and interleaved boost converters. Student participation in the classroom has been utilized to understand the circuit configuration of three-level boost converters. To enhance the students' ideation, the circuit configuration of interleaved boost converters has been presented as a question.
