Deadbeat Predictive Current Control for Current Source Inverter Fed High-Speed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

This paper proposes an improved predictive current control strategy to solve the issues of slow dynamic response and complex parameter tuning in high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor (HSPMSM) drive systems using current source inverters. Among them, the deadbeat technology is used to pre-calculate the reference value of the input current vector. Three virtual vectors are selected to create a control set and then combined with the space vector modulation technology to output. This strategy improves the dynamic response performance while ensuring the steady-state performance, to satisfy the high fundamental frequency operating requirements of the HSPMSM. Furthermore, a cost function that incorporates tracking control of the filter capacitor voltage is designed, effectively suppressing the LC resonance. Finally, a hardware experiment platform is built to verify the control strategy proposed in this paper.
