A Novel Halbach Design for Hybrid Rotor and Performance Optimization in PMSM

摘要
To improve the electromagnetic performance in permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), a new surface and internal hybrid permanent magnet (SIHPM) rotor is proposed in this paper. The surface permanent magnet adopts Halbach combined with eccentricity, which can effectively enhance the magnetic field and reduce the harmonic content in air-gap flux density. The internal permanent magnet adopts U-shape to ensure torque output and dynamic response. The comparative analysis of different rotor topologies is conducted, whose corresponding results indicate that SIHPM can achieve above advantages. In addition, the proposed SIHPM constrains flux leakage at the magnetic bridge, and further improve the utilization of permanent magnet. Finally, the influence of different structural parameters embrace and offset distance on the torque performance of proposed motor is also analyzed. The optimization results not only improve the torque output ability, but also suppress torque ripple.
