Torque Enhancement Scheme Based on Deadbeat Harmonic Current Control with Extended State Observer for Dual Three-Phase PMSM

This article proposes a torque enhancement strategy for asymmetrical six-phase PMSMs. First, specific fifth and seventh harmonic currents are injected into the harmonic subspace and reference current benchmarks are set to achieve the desired torque enhancement. Then, the influence of harmonic plane back electromotive force on the response current is studied, and the deadbeat harmonic predictive current control (DHPCC) equation considering lumped disturbance is derived. Furthermore, an extended state observer (ESO) is considered to improve control performance of the proposed strategy. Finally, the experimental results demonstrate the superiority and effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
