摘要
Abstract Ga.i.el.la.ce'a.e. N.L. fem. dim. n. Gaiella , type genus of the family; L. fem. pl. n. suff. – aceae , ending to denote a family; N.L. fem. pl. n. Gaiellaceae , the Gaiella family. Actinomycetota / Thermoleophilia / Gaiellales / Gaiellaceae The family Gaiellaceae is a member of the order Gaiellales . This family accommodates one genus, Gaiella , composed of one validly published species named Gaiella occulta . Cells stain Gram‐negative and form rod‐shaped cells. Endospores are not observed. The organisms are mesophilic, strictly aerobic, and chemoorganotrophic. The peptidoglycan contains meso ‐diaminopimelic acid ( meso ‐Dpm) as diagnostic diamino acid and is of type A1γ'. The major respiratory quinone is menaquinone 7 (MK‐7). The polar lipid profile consists of unidentified phospholipids and unidentified phosphoglycolipids. Members of the family Gaiellaceae possess internally methyl‐branched fatty acids, namely iso‐C 17:0 10‐methyl, iso‐C 15:0 8‐methyl, and iso‐C 16:0 10‐methyl. 16S rRNA gene sequence signature nucleotides that differentiate the family Gaiellaceae from any other family within the class Thermoleophilia are nucleotide positions 63:104 (C–G), 70:98 (A–G), 139:224 (C–G), 145:177 (U–G), 377:386 (G–C), 590:649 (G–C), 600:638 (G–C), and 722:733 (U–G). The species Gaiella occulta was isolated from a deep aquifer. DNA G + C content (mol%) : 71.6 (HPLC). DNA G + C content (%) : 71.7 (genome). Type genus : Gaiella Albuquerque et al. 2011, VL144.
