摘要
Background: Nucleolus has been shown as a prognostic parameter in many cancer types. In this study, we showed that the nucleolus score will contribute to a more objective FIGO grading in endometrial cancers. We examined the role of nucleolus score in predicting treatment and prognosis in endometrial cancers. Methods : In curettage, the nucleolus of endometrial cancers were evaluated and scored as 1, 2, 3. The relationship between this scoring and other clinicopathological parameters was examined separately. Results : Nucleolus score was associated with FIGO grade, myometrial invasion and lymphovascular invasion. The nucleolus score, which has the potential to be evaluated objectively, was found to be associated with disease-free survival and was an independent risk factor for disease-free survival. Conclusion: Nucleolus score is associated with prognosis in endometrial cancers. It can be evaluated objectively with a light microscope without requiring extra cost and time. Therefore, the nucleolus score is in FIGO grading; In order to reduce the subjective evaluation, it can also be a more objective parameter in the prediction of patient prognosis and in the choice of treatment method.
