摘要
The need for a rainwater harvesting system (RWHS) in Indian states is increasing day by day because of decrement in groundwater levels due to less rainfall in certain areas of India. This has happened due to global warming and unpredicted weather conditions. This creates the need to identify certain areas having deficient rainfall. The previous research mainly focused on the implementation, cost analysis, and design of RWHS. Several researchers also focused on rainfall data analysis to predict annual rainfall. However, the need for RWHS in a particular location depending upon the analysis of annual rainfall data is missing. Therefore, this paper identifies the need for RWHS based on annual rainfall data analysis for the last 10 years. A refined statistical analysis has been done to visualize the most deficient states and their districts. It has been identified from the analysis that Haryana, Manipur, and Delhi are the most deficient states in terms of annual rainfall. The microanalysis also identifies that the most deficient districts in these states are Panchkula, Imphal East, and North East Delhi.
