Optimal Scheduling of AC Clusters Based on Load Time-Shifting Framework

With a high percentage of renewable energy sources connected to the grid leading to grid dispatching difficulties, flexible loads represented by AC have potential for resource coordination, but how to aggregate AC clusters to simplify the coordinative control is the key. This paper present a optimal scheduling method of AC clusters based on load time-shifting framework, first an AC load aggregation model based on the load time-shift framework is consstructed, and then the calculation method of the aggregator power and energy operation boundary is obtained; the economic dispatch process embedded in the aggregation model of the time-shift framework and the parameter determination method of this model is presented; finally, the proposed model is verified by practical arithmetic examples, and the results of the arithmetic examples. The results of the case study show that the optimal schedule of the AC cluster could reduce the operation cost by 12.7% and the abandoned electricity by 35.7%, which is significant for the flexible loads control.
