Design of A High Average Power Gyro-TWT Loaded with Dielectric High-frequency System

In this paper, a high average power gyrotron tr -aveling wave tube (gyro-Twt)with a radial power-dividing wav -eguide stage is designed and simulated. To suppress the potential gyro-backward wave oscillator interactions involving the spurious modes TE 11 and $\text{TE}_{21}$ and increase the heat dissipation area, a new type lossy ceramic loaded structure is used in the high frequency (HF) interaction circuit of gyro-TWT. The particle in cell (PIC) simulations show that the new topology structure has stable high-power output performances. The pulse peak output power of this gyro-TWT is 163kW at 34.5 GHz, corresponding to a satu -rated gain of 53.14 dB and an efficiency of 27.21%.
