This work provides investigation on time variability and correlation analysis of a Norwegian wind power plant, which is going to be integrated with solar photovoltaic power plant. This design study of Norwegian Smøla Wind Power Plant is investigating the time variability and correlation analysis. The real operational data of wind power plants and simulated solar photovoltaic power plant data will be analyzed further considering connected power line capacities for investigating the photovoltaic hosting capacity, curtailment and potential for identifying increased capacity of the connected power line. This work will be useful for doing the correlation analysis for solar photovoltaic with wind power plants connected to the grid through common power line, and finding appropriate energy storage. The presented results will be very useful for power system operator for balancing the intermittency of power outputs through dispatchable power generation sources. The typical scenarios are investigated for utilizing the maximum capacity of the common power lines and to minimize the potential curtailments of the renewable energy sources.
