Ku-band Dual-Band Dual-Polarized Aperture-Shared Array Antenna for Satellite Communication

摘要
An 8×8 Ku-band dual-band dual-polarized aperture-shared array antenna is proposed with low profile and high gain for satellite communication. The rectangle patches serve as the radiation structure to achieve dual band and dual polarization operations. The substrate integrated waveguide structure and the microstrip line structure are high frequency and low frequency feeding structures, respectively. The isolation and the flexibility of the proposed array are improved by different feeding technologies. The simulated results show that the operation band of the horizontal polarization covers 14-14.5 GHz, and the peak gain is 26.28 dBi. The operation band of the vertical polarization covers 12.25-12.75 GHz, and the peak gain is 24.89 dBi. The port isolation is better than 45 dB, and a low cross-polarization level is realized for two polarizations.
