摘要
For low energy high intensity proton accelerator (LEHIPA), Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) has developed the three of 352 MHz, 1 MW klystron based high power radio frequency (RF) systems to power three accelerating cavities. The 1 MW RF system comprises of interlock and protection system, low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) bias supplies, harmonic filter, directional coupler, circulator, wave guide window, RF load and WR2300 wave guide components. Fasting acting Interlock and Protection system (IPS) is used for safe and reliable operation of high power RF system. This 1 MW klystron based high power RF system (inclusive of HV DC supplies) generates the high RF power and may generate RF interference ( RFI) in the form of conducted emission and radiated emission. All the bias supplies of the RF system are controlled by IPS, which have to function satisfactory in RFI environment. Hence, Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of IPS and other sub systems must be required. So EM suppression techniques and practices have been designed, developed and successfully implemented within klystron RF system, which has been integrated to accelerator. This paper, discusses the details of klystron RF system and electromagnetic compatibility achieved and tested by addressing most of the issues by quieting the sources of interference, inhibiting coupling paths and hardening the potential victims.
