摘要
This research investigates the potential of employing nanosecond lasers to achieve micro-hole texturing on the frontal surface of polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tools. A sequence of experiments, each focusing on an individual factor, was executed to explore the effects of varying laser pulse energies on the dimensions of micro-holes and the scope of the recast layer. Concurrently, real-time acoustic emission (AE) signals, produced during the texturing procedure, were gathered and subjected to analysis using characteristic AE parameters and the short-time Fourier transform (STFT) based on waveforms. The association between texturing patterns and AE signals was subsequently established. The findings unveil that as laser energy intensffies, both the diameter of micro-holes and the extent of the recast layer increase proportionally. Furthermore, the amplitude, MARSE (Measured Area under the Rectified Signal Envelope), and spectral analysis of AE signals effectively depict the structural attributes of the textured surface. These results underscore a profound connection between AE signals and the structural traits of micro-textured surfaces.
