摘要
Parameterized Spatial Reuse (PSR) is a Wi-Fi 6 mechanism, which allows a station to transmit its frame simultaneously with a trigger-based transmission from another network, provided that the station reduces its transmission power to decrease the induced interference. PSR can be extremely useful for real-time applications (RTAs) because it allows a station to transmit urgent data without waiting for the channel to become idle, and thus PSR can significantly reduce delays. Because of tight delay constraints, all the access points (APs) operating in the same area and the same channel shall regularly provide PSR opportunity for RTA traffic. For that, the APs need to exchange information about channel conditions and traffic and coordinate their schedules accordingly, which is a key feature of the future Wi-Fi 8 standard. The paper studies how to arrange such coordination in Wi-Fi 8 multi-AP deployments and proposes a scheduling approach, which significantly reduces channel access delays for RTA traffic almost without degrading the performance of the regular delay-tolerant traffic.
