摘要
Hepatic artery aneurysms (HAA) are rare lesions caused either by an underlying connective tissue disorder, a degenerative vascular problem, or following an interventional procedure. Although they are mostly asymptomatic, rupture may be lethal. The primary objective in treatment is to sustain vascular continuity after excision of the aneurysm according to the basic principles of vascular surgery, but this may not always be essential. In this report, four patients with HAAs who have undergone aneurysmectomies without a reconstruction procedure are detailed. Three patients received elective surgery, while one was operated in an emergency setting due to the rupture of the aneurysm. The median follow-up period was 91.5 months (range 11-192 months). No adverse event was recorded during the post-operative follow-up period. Reconstruction-free aneurysmectomy for the hepatic artery is a safe procedure, provided that a patent collateral circulation is present. It may especially be efficient (Cite this article as: Sonmez RE, Eltemur Y, Erdonmez H, Buyuk M, Serin KR, Ekiz F, et al. Reconstruction-free aneurysmectomy of the hepatic artery.
