摘要
One of the important non-conventional as well as thermoelectric process is Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (WEDM) process. In medical as well as in aerospace industries, this process plays significant role for producing newer materials. Complex shapes as well as cuts can be done by this process on components that are electrically conductive and also have high accuracy and excellent surface aspects. The present study investigates a mathematical model for modelling as well as analysis of effects of various parameters on the effecting characteristics during machining of Inconel 718.Taguchi Methodology of second order has been proposed for developing this and describes the effect of Gap voltage (G), Wire feed rate (WFR), and Peak Current (P) on Material Removal Rate (MRR). ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) has been applied to investigate the effect of each machining parameters as well as interaction between them. After investigating experimental and predicted results, with the formulation of design matrix and analysis of regression it has been found out that the adopted model has significant importance and also predicted results have coherency with experimental findings. The maximum MRR has been obtained when we have considered maximum wire feed 80 m/min, minimum peak current 2A, and maximum gap voltage of 90 V.
