摘要
Researchers have been studying energy generation and consumption patterns of different sectors in India for various purposes, including improving their management. Many government initiatives, along with other companies, have come forward to procure and emphasize clean energy so that we have a better world to live in. In 2020, a global pandemic known as COVID-19 changed our lives. In India, a nationwide lockdown commenced on March 25, 2020, after detecting the first COVID-19 case by the end of January 2020. This preventive measure of the government led to the closure of educational institutions and many companies, changing our conventional lifestyle personally and economically. This sudden shutdown of massive energy consumers like factories and other big industries created a negative impact on the energy sectors of the nation. In this paper, an analysis is carried out to understand how the sudden pandemic reflected on the energy sector in India. The analysis focuses on a number of areas including consumption, generation, consumers, sources, and sectors.
