摘要
In this research work optimize the process condition for Zn (II) ions removal efficiency using black cumin seeds (Nigella Sativa) adsorbent were studied. The effects of contact time, pH, temperature and activated cumin seed (ACS) dosage on percentage of Zn (II) ions removal efficiency were investigated. Central composite design (CCD) has been appliedto study interaction effects of process parameters such as contact time, pH, temperature and ACSdosage on the percentage of Zn (II) ion removal were analysed. The results indicated that the is 98.99% Zn (II) removal efficiency were obtained under the optimum conditions at 110 min contact time, 6.5 pH, 55°C temperature, and 0.55 % (w/v) ACS dosage. ANOVA statistical value found to be removal of zinc (II) ion using ACS adsorbent highly significant, with low probability (p values <0.0001). These findings revealed the black cumin seeds adsorbent are renewable materials and environmentally friendly bio adsorbent has great potential for purification of Zn (II) from polluted waste water.
