摘要
Objective: to evaluate the programmatic indicators of the tuberculosis surveillance program, in an IPS for the city of Barranquilla, during the periods of 2012 to 2014. Materials and methods: a descriptive, retrospective cross-sectional study was carried out and evaluated in 1,061 cases of notifications of patients registered in the tuberculosis control program. Which then notified the hospital centers attached to the service network of the IPS University Barranquilla headquarters between 2012 and 2014 through the evaluation of the tuberculosis surveillance program indicators. Results: most cases were registered in the male gender between the ages of 19 -44 years (67%), 32.52% were informal workers, 12.91% were street dwellers and 8.6% were housewives. Pulmonary tuberculosis was predominant with 91.6%. When analyzing each program indicator, it was possible to visualize that the catchment indicator did not show data in the study. The follow-up indicator showed 70% compliance in the last two years and the impact indicator showed an improvement, however it did not comply with the goal of 80%. Conclusion: the tuberculosis control program of the IPS did not fulfill the proposed purposes for the indicators of uptake, monitoring, and impact, which shows a lack of adherence to treatment and a risk to public health.
