Gamified Formative Assessment in Local Architectures

The adaptation to the European Higher Education Area has changed various aspects of the teaching-learning process under the premise of a shift from teacher-centered learning to student-centered learning. One of these changes is the provision of gamified formative assessment experiences, but the use of third-party applications that facilitate these experiences often entails a series of privacy risks that should not be overlooked. This work in progress aims to overcome these issues by proposing the design and implementation of a framework to support locally-run educational applications, as well as an application that provides gamified formative assessment capabilities in local architectures.
