Parameter Design and Stability Analysis of Virtual Synchronous Generator for Integrated Energy System.

Inverter control strategy has a vital effect on the stability of integrated energy system. From the point of view of mimicking external characteristics of synchronous generator (SG), some researchers brought out virtual synchronous generator (VSG) strategy. An improved VSG model is presented in this paper. Via construction of virtual exciter, governor and one SG performance simulation unit, together with a PI internal-loop controller for inverter terminal voltage elements respectively. The small-signal model of VSG is established, and eigenvalues of the system were calculated. Then, participation factors showing relations between state variables and eigenvalues were calculated. Several root locus plots as function of the inertia time constants and the excitation system parameters were obtained and analyzed. The conclusion of analysis is consistent with the theory of SG. And root locus plots as function of the PI controller parameters and the line. Parameters were also obtained and analyzed.
