Bibliometric analysis of studies measuring physical activity through smart devices at school age

There is an increase in scientific production in the field of physical activity and sport that is interesting to analyze. The aim of the present study was to perform a bibliometric analysis on the measurement of physical activity by means of smart devices at school age. All articles were selected from the Web of Science (Core Collection) that had the words "Preschool or Kindergarten or children or adolescent " and "wereable or smartphone or devices or app " in the title and, "physical activity " in the subject, during the period 1996-2020. Following the PRISMA guidelines, 73 articles were selected to analyze the annual trend of published articles, distribution by country of publication, main journals, number of authors, thematic area, type of study, number of citations per arti-cle, sample, context, type of device and brand, time of exposure of the device, statistics, study with intervention program, method-ology used, use of ICT. The results highlight the increase in publications since 2015, being the area of Health, where there is a great-er volume of publications, highlighting the accelerometer as the smart device most used to measure physical activity. This work a framework of the scientific in this line of research.
