摘要
Understanding the indications, risks, and how to manage potential complications associated with transfusion is essential for all physicians working in a hospital setting, yet medical trainee knowledge of transfusion medicine (TM) concepts is poor. At the undergraduate level, the majority of medical students spend less than three hours on didactic TM teaching, and these experiences tend to be unmemorable, with lectures focused on theory and “non-comprehensible acronyms”[1,2]. At the postgraduate level, TM education is often delivered through e-learning and on-the-job training from senior clinicians and nursing staff [2].
