•The TIPE Learning Collaborative demonstrated measurable benefits in trauma-informed school practices by 12 months.•Educators’ knowledge of trauma-informed practices increase over time when they report that leaders are aware of TIPE.•TIPE could be utilized as a model to enhance school leaders’ capacity and knowledge to enagage in trauma sensitive practices.
