Demonstration of Axial-Injection End-Burning Hybrid Rocket using FDM 3D Printer

摘要
This paper discusses the demonstration of an AIEB (Axial-Injection End-Burning) Hybrid Rocket using FDM 3D Printer, especially infill function, for the first time in open literature. Fuel infill densities over 90% were achieved with this method, and used to successfully demonstrate an AIEB hybrid rocket. Five experiments were conducted for combustion times of 10 s, 20 s, 30 s, 40 s, and 50 s to confirm that OF shift is mitigated, which is the most attractive advantage of AIEB hybrid rocket.
