Solidarity economy training in public educational institutions in the city of Ocaña, Colombia: under the gaze of the SIG

This descriptive research article responds to the concern about the existence of the “accumulation of information on solidarity economy that is scattered, without being identified, compiled, or systematized, which makes it impossible to determine what are the topics discussed, the contribution made, the existing gaps that deserve to be addressed and expanded ”. Understanding solidarity education as a viable alternative to tackle the challenges that the Colombian school faces. That is why its purpose is to determine the formation of solidarity economy taught by public educational institutions in the city of Ocaña. For this purpose, it was necessary to identify the training in solidarity economy through an analytical matrix, characterize the academic and practical training in solidarity economy through the study of nine criteria, in addition to generating a geographic information system of solidarity education of the schools, with in order to offer systematized information for the development of future solidarity training projects in public schools.
