Comparison of specialized fonts for dyslexic children and spacing as factor of legibility

Type Fonts is a reading performance factor, for readers with language disorder this factor is stronger, this work show results of 16 fonts specialized for dyslexic comparison, this study emphasizes the observing of spacing between letters factor in legibility so were compared 8 specialized fonts and same 8 fonts with extra spacing, phase test consist in a group of 3 dyslexic children and a reading practice where they chose 3 fonts from 16 options, the reading practice use the picked font in first place, results show gain in pre-test and post-test comparison and the selected fonts is strongly on the side of extra-spacing fonts, this findings match reviewed research, what is next is the development of translation tools is order to exchange normal fonts with specialized font and specialized spacing between letter to facilitate the reading process for dyslexic children.
