An integrated road-slippery condition recognition system based on vehicle-Infrastructure cooperative

The slippery road condition perception system is required to assist intelligent vehicles. However, the existing road condition perception system mostly works independently, which brings a warning-delay. As a solution, this paper designs an integrated road-slippery condition recognition system based on vehicle-Infrastructure cooperative. Firstly, a pretrained road-slippery condition recognition model with modified threshold is built based on Inception-v3. Secondly, the vehicle-road cooperative network is set up and the real-time vehicle-infrastructure cooperative system based on DSRC is realized. Finally, to achieve visualization, an APP on Mobile phone is constructed to display the road recognition results. The whole system shows high real-time performance, low omission rate and good recognition accuracy under four typical road conditions' test.
