摘要
This work addresses a method for determining the requirements of an electric powertrain applied to an existing car with an internal combustion engine to be converted to electrical traction with minimal mechanical modification. The analysis starts by considering the vehicle’s mechanical coefficients and standard driving cycles FTP 75, NEDC, and NBR 7024. Next, the dynamic model is considered with the car operating under the driving cycles considering that the original gearbox is maintained. As a result, the requirements of the electrical machine in terms of torque and power versus speed are obtained as well as the car performance in terms of acceleration, maximum speed, and hill-climbing capacity. The method is applied to a case study considering a VW-UP!.
