Rose - An intelligent system for student counseling and tutoring.

Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages (FILS) proposes a high addressability of students from various countries, education systems, nationalities, and majors, which obviously constitutes an advantage in the university market, including however a substantial dropout rate (20%). When it comes to foreign students, the dropout rate is 22% of the total number of students for the academic year 2018-2019. In most cases, students at risk are either the ones who were accepted with a low grade at the baccalaureate exam (10%) or come from rural areas (25.5%) or are part of disadvantaged socio-economic groups (low-income families, have one or both parents working abroad). To minimize dropout rate, we propose a platform that unites professors and students to understand the student needs and improve the student connection with faculty.
