摘要
The Baribis Fault is one of the active faults in West Java province. Research has been conducted on the identification of the fault using the gravity method. The survey aimed to illuminate geological structures such as fault, basin, horst. In this study, hundreds point around the Bandung to Pamanukan region covered the probable Baribis active fault line in the Subang-Purwakarta segment. Subsurface modeling is carried out to find out the buried faults geometry in the region. The horizontal gradient attributes, 2D, and 3D modeling were subjected to map the subsurface structures based on variation of rock density values. The resulting 2D and 3D model of Baribis active fault zone evaluated by several a priori published data revealed subsurface rock density distribution and probable area prone to surface rupture. This study suggested the inferred buried Baribis Fault lineament in the segment which might be useful for future infrastructure development and hazard mitigation.
