摘要
•The Lyapunov stability criterion is used as a control objective in the proposed model predictive control method.•The use of the Lyapunov stability criterion in the optimal control formulation enhances the closed-loop stability.•The proposed method reduces the sensitivity to the deviation from the nominal operating conditions.•The removal of the weighting factors from the feedback loop design enhances the robustness of the system and simplifies the MPC design stage.•Theoretical concepts are experimentally validated using a hardware set setup.
