摘要
The industry aims to devise ways of producing maximum hydrocarbon from oil field to ensure maximum returns from the investments and to recover the additional amount of oil to reduce the gap between world energy supply and demand. For that a good development plan and proven methods, including best strategy and optimum yield through simulation studies, are required. In this study, first the robust screening method for production optimization has been formulated that helps in decision-making specifically for mature oilfields. Second, a series of strategies based on water alternate gas, and chemical injection has been developed and simulated. The desired input parameters has been selected to get the best optimum results, which not only save the simulation time but improves the simulation method by reducing the time-stepping for the desired model. At the end, the economic model has also been proposed in the study to investigate the economic aspects of the best EOR program. Results revealed that the primary recovery did not yield significantly better because the reservoir was far from commercial recovery. The WAG injection case provided the best recovery factor, around 42.6% at the end of the 12th year of production, compared to 19.29% by chemical injection in the same period. For WAG injection, the optimum gas injection is to be around 3MMSCF/day, whereas the water injection rate to be around 20MSTB/day. the return on investment and profit on investment values are evaluated 111.11% and 11% for ASP and WAG injection, respectively. This study may provide a better conclusion for understanding the strategies for oil field development and the decision-making for economic aspects.
