Research on Two-dimensional Vector Magnetic Field Sensing Characteristics of All-fiber Magnetic Field Sensor Based on the Magnetostrictive Effect

Based on the Giant Magnetostrictive Material (GMM) Terfenol-D and fiber Bragg grating, the optical fiber magnetic field temperature sensor for magnetic field measurement is proposed. Its magnetic field and temperature sensing characteristics are theoretically analyzed and experimentally verified, and a sensitivity matrix is established to overcome the cross-sensitivity of magnetic field and temperature. In addition, the vector response of the magnetic field in three orthogonal planes is experimentally tested. It is worth noting that the magnetic field vector response of the sensor in three orthogonal planes is experimentally tested, and it is found that the magnetic field vector response of the sensor in the three orthogonal planes is different. The sensor has the advantages of low cost, easy integration, and good vector properties. It has an important application significance for marine magnetic network detection. Based on the sensing of cascaded Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs), an array sensing integration scheme for magnetic field detection is proposed.
