Excellent enzymeless anti-oxidant sensor for fruit juice and wine using nano gold/metal selenide urchins decorated 2D-composite

There is a growing interest to develop electrochemical sensor for the quick detection of constituent especially the antioxidants in fruits. Here for the first time gold nanoparticles decorated on capacitance material like 2D-beta-Ni (OH)2 supported Mo3Se4 urchins were prepared for selective phenol detection in the real sample like fruit juice and wine matrixes. Under optimal condition the Mo3Se4/beta-Ni(OH)2/AuNSs modified electrode displays a wide linear range of 0.05 mu M to 3 mM (R2=0.9854) for gallic acid. Besides, this sensor exhibits the lowest detection limit of 5 nM (S/N=3). Because of its ever-increasing requirement and simplicity, the present sensor can be commercialized and deployed for monitoring gallic acid in wine matrixes and fruit juices.
