Virtual Office - Practical Implementation of Models to Improve the Experience in Virtual and Digital Work Environment

Virtual Office represents a unique progressive web application designed and made for different companies/organizations, as well as digital nomads, securing them a fast and easy way of communicating, organizing tasks, and gathering, as well as providing multiple mental-health boosting practices. Virtual Office was born as an idea on one of the hackathons organized by Bicom Systems, an international software company based in London, Greenford. It started as a minimum viable product and has grown into an entire web application over the course of time. Virtual Office especially affects how the remote work functions, since most of the functionalities that it carries directly reflect on how the teammates are supposed to work when they are in the office. What is most important is that Virtual Office unites multiple applications into a single one, achieving better employee-level organization, and providing a faster user experience without having to switch between different applications during work time. Many enterprise applications help companies in better communication and project management, such as “Slack”, “Microsoft Teams” and “Chanty”, but Virtual Office concentrates its use case on modern-day people, primarily focusing on resolving their most common problems like dealing with stress, lack of mental health initiatives, fast way of performing tasks and similar issues. The goal of the Virtual Office’s development was to establish a simply-designed web application that would be used on a company-level basis. The model developed has demonstrated that it is possible to use such kind of application to deal with complex problems that people face in their day-to-day job-related activities.
