摘要
There is a growing interest in exploring the practice-based foundations of entrepreneurship education. Despite significant advancement in scholarship regarding entrepreneurship education, our understanding of the ‘educator’, especially how they develop and sustain their abilities to enable learning in practice-based entrepreneurship education—remains thin. We build on practice theory and expertise development literatures to develop a new concept— quasipractice— proximal engagement in the actions, emotions, and cognitive experiences of an entrepreneur, which provides an approach to enhancing the skills, knowledge, and practices of the entrepreneurship educator. We juxtapose ‘quasipractice’ vis-à-vis ‘experiential learning’ and ‘vicarious learning’ and detail its unique role in entrepreneurship educator development. Limitations and future research implications are discussed.
