Mathematical Model of Dynamic Friction in Pneumatic Cylinder

Friction in pneumatic cylinders is a nonlinear function of many factors affecting the quality of movement and working efficiency. The mathematical model of dynamic friction force in the pneumatic cylinder was generated by experimental research. The regression model was used to predict the effect of velocity v, relative humidity RH, and air temperature T (characteristics two of Vietnam’s climate environment) on dynamic friction force. The mathematical model showed the effect of all three factors (v, T, RH) on the dynamic friction force simultaneously. Hence, the friction force can be adjusted by changing v, RH, and T suitable based on the friction-map graph.
