摘要
The aim of this essay is to design the parameters of a charging coil for implantable microsystem using a simulation software, Maxwell. To obtain the inductance and resistance of the coil, Finite Element Method with 3D magnetic field is developed in this work. Three key factors influencing the electrical property of coil, which include the number of coil turns (N), the spacing between the conductors (w), and the thickness of the conductor (h), are considered in simulation. To acquire the inductance and resistance values in Maxwell, these parameters are subjected to a parametric analysis. In this simulation, real work environment of coil and its fabrication technique will be also considered to guide the design of the coil. According to the numerical results, the coil's quality factor can reach 76.57 which can meet the requirement of implantable usage. In addition, the effect of the transmitting and receiving coils' positions on the magnetic field distribution is also investigated in this work. The Finite Element Method should provide a valuable reference for the design of the coil in implantable microsystems.
