Addressing Scheme for Three-Dimensional Central Triangular Matrices in Linear Arrays

A matrix, in which most of the elements are present with zero values, is known as sparse matrix. Sparse matrices have many types in which lower and upper triangular matrices are often seen in many applications such as result of linear equation systems. Since many elements of the sparse matrices are present with zero values, so mechanisms to accumulate only non-zero values in disk and memory are desired to save space. Central triangular matrices are special kind of sparse matrices which are analyzed in three-dimensional forms in this paper. A mechanism to store their elements that saves space in memory is also proposed using linear arrays.
