Calculation of Renewable Energy Grid-Connected Potential

Clarifying the grid connection potential of renewable energy is the basis for improving the penetration rate of renewable energy in regional distribution grids. In this paper, a method for calculating the grid connection potential of renewable energy in regional distribution networks with multiple loads is proposed. First, the calculation model of renewable energy the grid-connected potential was designed, including the constraints of the normal operation of the system after the renewable energy was connected to the grid. Then, the calculation process of renewable energy the grid-connected potential in the regional distribution network was studied, that is, on the basis of calculating the grid-connected potential of single-point wind power, the grid-connected potential of renewable energy in the regional distribution network with multiple load nodes was calculated. Finally, a 33-node calculation system with five types of load nodes including office buildings, university campuses, industrial parks, commercial areas and residential areas was used to verify the effectiveness of the method. The results show that when the combined wind power capacity is 1:1:1:1:1, the maximum installable capacity of the wind farm is (1026+337j)kVA. It provides a reference for the selection of renewable energy access capacity in regional distribution network.
